Institute of Economic Affairs
The Institute of Economic Affairs is the UK’s first free-market think-tank. Their mission is to explain the key role free markets play in solving social and economic problems.
They do this through a wide-ranging programme of research, books, magazines, conferences, lectures, films and more.
80 students from all over the world take part in the IEA’s Summer Internship Programme each year, which involves a programme of lectures, seminars, debates, discussions, events and social activities.
There are also opportunities throughout the year to undertake General Academic Internships and Operations Internships. You can find out more about all of these internship opportunities here.
If you would like to intern with the IEA next Summer, the deadline for applications is the 1st April 2017.

Now in its third year, THINK is aimed predominantly at 16-25-year-olds and brings together leading speakers from around the world to discuss issues including health, education and welfare – and to highlight how the creativity and innovation fostered under free markets has helped halve world poverty in recent decades. THINK 2016 attracted 450 young people and embraced a wide range of sessions – from Economics and War to Behavioural Economics – and was incredibly well received.
THINK will take place once again in Summer 2017.
